The government has implemented a Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRC EES) that will pay for the electricity generated and exported by a photovoltaic system. The credit given for the electricity will be guaranteed at the same rate for 25 years. No matter what type of building you own, installing a photovoltaic system on it will make you money!

A bonus credit of 3 pence per kilowatthour will also be awarded for any electricity that a system exports back into the mains.
